About me

I'm Max Marrée, a versatile digital creative.  Over here is explained why I chose this description.

First, I studied Communication & Multimedia Design at the University of Applied Science of Amsterdam. I have learned the skills of human computer interaction, user centered design, and service design. Besides the visual/interaction design aspect, I learned the basics of html, css, and motion design. In addition, I followed the minor Media Entrepreneurship including a Marketing NIMA B exam. During the 4 years of education I did design internships at Lodger and Bravoure.

At Bravoure, I worked for various clients such as Awakenings, Amsterdam Dance Event, Brunel, ING, and CJP. I continued working for the digital agency after my internship and finished my graduation project about Inbound Marketing in collaboration with Bravoure.

After this period I decided to start a masters in Communication and Information Sciences at Tilburg University. I chose my course subjects around the track Business Communication and Digital Media. I specialized on Resistance & Persuasion, Communication Strategies, and Online Public Relations. As a masterthesis, I studied the persuasiveness of a specific type of shadow advertisements.

When I started my masters, I returned to work for Lodger where I was responsible for the User Experience of the consumer/retailers on Lodger.com. Moreover, I developed the email marketing automations by operationalizing key data from databases and connecting these data to Mailchimp. At present, I am focussed on optimizing or developing the website's user experience, the marketing automations, and the ads/campaigns of Lodger.

I love to make someone happy with my ideas, advice or creativity. That's my most important drive. Words like empathic, analytical, passionate, and result-oriented describe my character.

I used to state that my goal was to become an art director and eventually to lead my own creative agency, but in fact I am discovering my path a long the way one step at a time. Eight years ago I thought that I wanted to become an architect, then I wanted to become a designer, and now I am broadly educated and widely applicable. I am excited for the future and open to new challenges!
